  Formed in Otwock in 2002, Oranżada is one of those bands which, from the very beginning of their activity, has functioned, so to speak, outside of time and current trends. The formation's style is characterised by a very warm, organic sound, great, unobvious melodies and unobtrusive hitmaking, all bathed in a sauce with an extremely relaxing, summer, psychedelic flavour. "Karma Tango", the band's first premiere material in a decade, is not only an occasion to celebrate their 20th anniversary, but above all proof that Robert Derlatka, Maciej Łabudzki, Michał Krysztofiak and Artur Rzempołuch still have a whole lot of enthusiasm and ideas in them.
  
  As the band explains, 'Karma Tango' is an album about the shuffling reality that shrouds us, about the endless tango of the same mornings and days, punctuated only by dreams. About the ever-emerging karma of two worlds dancing with each other - the one irretrievably gone and the one yet to come. About the tensions between fading spirituality and a sense of loss of purpose, and the ever-newer technologies and the advancing information chaos and overdrive.
  
  The album was recorded at The Boogie Town Studio in Otwock, Poland, during two sessions recorded 'by the hundred' in June 2021 and March 2022. Even when setting up the equipment, the very friendly atmosphere of the place could be felt. It was the first time we recorded in a studio with such wide-ranging and professional conditions - this gave us great comfort, which definitely translated into the quality of the recordings themselves," Robert Derlatka recalls of the first session. The March recordings took place in a slightly more tense atmosphere. The atmosphere was heavy and full of anxiety, we entered the studio only a few days after the armed aggression of Russia in Ukraine. We were certainly more nervous, but also somehow more determined. Additionally, we had really great support from Bartek and Ula from The Boogie Town and our producer Piotr," continues the musician.
  
  The process of mixing the album and making it sound final proved to be quite an endurance test. The difficulty resulted, among other things, from the fact that the songs for the new album were created over a period of ten years, on different equipment and at different times. Robert Derlatka: Piotr Rychlec had already worked with us on the live album 'Live in Bogart', so we already trusted each other. However, the beginning of the mix was very chaotic and turbulent - we had a lot of ideas with which we literally overwhelmed Piotr. Fortunately, he managed to get it all under control and choose the best direction for our music.
  
  "Karma Tango" is a nod to the best sound traditions of the seventies, but modern technological solutions were boldly used during the work. At first glance, the sound of the new album may seem a little muffled, but with each subsequent listen it allows further layers of the recording to be revealed. There are no additional scooped bass or treble tones, which have been somewhat the norm for some time now. As a result, the album can be listened to repeatedly without the feeling of fatigue that comes with many modern productions," explains Robert Derlatka.
